His business card reads “Specializing in Sheep Health & Bicycling” and he may be the only one in the country with that combination of expertise areas – or in the world, for that matter.

Dr. Kimberling has devoted his life to improving livestock health. He received a degree in veterinary medicine from Colorado State in 1959 and since that time he has made significant contributions to veterinary medicine.
During CSU Day at the 2012 National Western Stock Show & Rodeo, Dr. Cleon Kimberling became the Department of Animal Sciences' Livestock Leader of the Year for his scientific contributions to the livestock industry.
